Bringing Vision to Life Through Thoughtful Design
Many of you already know me, but for those who don’t, I’m a designer who helps small businesses build confidence in their brand and online presence.
I offer brand identity design, Squarespace web design, and graphic design services. When I started my business in 2022, my goal was to become the solution for small businesses who wanted strategic and professional design.
I’m your one-stop shop for design, whether you’re starting a new business, or rebranding completely. My focus is on making the process easy, enjoyable, and tailored to each client’s vision.
Designing My Own Story
I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Visual Communication Technology, which gave me a strong foundation in design and strategy.
During college, I completed five internships that shaped my skills in creative direction and branding. After graduation, I worked full-time as a designer in Nashville, where my passion for helping small businesses truly grew.
After getting engaged to my boyfriend of seven years, we moved back to my hometown in Northeast Ohio. We’re now excited to share that we’re expecting and I’m 17 weeks pregnant! Baby is due April 19, 2026 and we find out the gender next week. 😊
Watching My Parents Build From Scratch
Small businesses have always had a special place in my heart! My parents own Pace Medical Equipment and Supplies in Copley, Ohio, and since 2004 I’ve watched a business get built completely from the ground up. Seeing their hard work and determination taught me so much about what it takes to run a successful small business.
Rooted in Small Business
My Pace side of the family immigrated from Italy and settled in the Pennsylvania and Ohio areas. The first generation born in America (my grandpa’s generation) had five siblings, and four of them went on to own businesses as adults. Entrepreneurship runs in my family, and I’ve always had a special place in my heart for small business owners. I love that anyone has the opportunity to start a small business and you can make it whatever you want!
AI and Design
AI is everywhere right now! These tools can be fun and useful for getting ideas started, but they also raise an important question… how far can AI really go when it comes to something as personal as your brand?
The Pros of AI
Efficiency: AI can save time by generating ideas or content quickly.
Accessibility: It’s available to anyone and everyone who might not have the budget to hire professionals right away.
Brainstorming partner: Programs like ChatGPT can spark inspiration, help write headlines, or visualize concepts.
Automation: AI can handle repetitive or technical tasks, freeing up designers to focus on creativity and strategy.
Trend insights: Some AI tools analyze data to predict what styles or approaches may resonate with audiences.
The Cons of AI
Lack of originality: AI learns from existing work, which means it can’t create something truly unique or personal to your brand.
No emotional connection: It can’t understand your story, goals, or the feeling you want people to have when they see your brand.
Generic design: Logos or websites built entirely by AI often look similar and lack the depth that comes from human creativity.
No strategy: AI doesn’t think about user experience, long-term goals, or how all parts of your brand work together.
Limited collaboration: Working with a designer is about partnership, feedback, and trust, something no computer can replicate.
Thoughts on AI
I love using ChatGPT! I think it’s a great TOOL to brainstorm ideas or do something as simple as proof read a proposal I send out, but I would never use it to create designs for myself or a client.
Why Professional Designers Still Matter
A designer brings intuition, empathy, and strategy, all things that cannot be programmed.
A good designer knows how to translate your story into visuals that make people feel something.
Working with a designer is a collaborative experience, not just a transaction. It is about building trust and vision together.
Professional designers think beyond visuals. They consider user experience, brand alignment, and long term growth.
The design process itself is valuable. It helps business owners clarify their identity, goals, and message.
AI Can Create Legal and Brand Risks too! AI tools often pull from copyrighted material, which can leave your brand in legal grey areas and with generic results that don’t hold long-term value.
Initial Logo Concepts: Corporate Connections vs. ChatGPT Generated Designs
I used my notes from our client call and the brand identity questionnaire to prompt ChatGPT to create logo concepts. Shown here are the results. A comparison between my first round of designer-created concepts and the AI-generated concepts.
